About  Dee Britt

IMG_0801_edited.jpg

Dee has provided speaking services in the physical therapy setting for quite some time and now is expanding this to all people who want to expand their God given talents with their natural gifts or explore new interests. This might be due to burnout or just the desire for a healthy change to their lifestyle. Speaking engagements are offered in-person and on-line.

Also, Dee has studied and is engaged in narration of books and video. This has been a natural transition as her early days of live music performances included time in recording studios. Find a demo of my book narration on the NARRATION page (scroll down two pages)

All these creative outlets that have become Dee Britt Studios, are made possible by her experience in writing novels, story telling,  and fronting a four-piece band for many years. Dee has harnessed her love for story-telling and integrated it into all these paths: online courses, writing, speaking, and narration.

Now, some questions for you...

Have you found yourself not volunteering to help other co-workers? Do you find yourself spending twice as much time writing your clinical notes as you did treating the patient? Do you feel as if you don't have enough time, energy, or "smiles" to properly treat your patient? Dee is a physical therapist retiring after 39 years and a nasty fight with burnout. Dee is here to tell you that you can come out on the other side, smiling and ready for a good change. She did, and continues to do, the work and is  so glad she did. Don't wait. Receive a Burnout Quiz (the Maslach Burnout Inventory) and Guide for helping you through the process. Once you have taken the quiz, you will learn the inclusion criteria for burnout. You might be surprised with what you see. Find the link at the bottom of the page.

Fireside: The Wes Lyons Story is the second book in the Fireside series and will be released soon. Also set in the Fireside Assisted Living Center, this book explores the diverse, resilient, and funny residents living there. They look to their beloved, rebellious nurse, Ginger, to care for them. She advocates for them by day with her tattoos covered by a crisp lab coat, and lets her hair down at night in the dance clubs of Atlanta. This book focuses on Pastor Wes Lyons, a world renowned televangelist. After life's storms bring him to his knees, he finds himself in Fireside, a broken man. Reflection chapters flash-back to his days as a young man growing up as an energetic, hippie and pastor's son in the 1970's; and a celebrity evangelist as decades passed. After all the years of challenge and failure, can he find his way back to success and prominence?

James was forced into the Assisted Living Center following his wife's death. Reflection chapter look back to the struggling days of James and Estelle during their high school romance.
